Hundreds of models, over 250+ to be exact, 15 area designers, various vendors and sponsors will all gather to show off their talents on the runway; while live music by Several National Bands such as Dirty Americans, Pistol Day Parade and Evans Blue light up the stage.

Rock the Runway
Starting a mere 4 years ago with a handful of local business owners that unofficially dubbed themselves as “The Network”, the first show was a huge success. With over 800 in attendance at the Hayloft in Mt Clemens, The Network was barely able to hold the show there a second time. “With attendance topping 1200 people a third time, The Emerald Theater was the likely place to expand in 2010.” stated Jeff Blackburn of “Empire Seven”. “We will keep increasing the venue size as we need it adjusting accordingly to the growing demand.”
“Rock The Runway™” proves not only to be a top-notch event, but a real network of Detroit area businesses working with each other for the greater good of the city and the economy. This year “Rock The Runway™” is joining forces with Maggie Varney looking to give back in an even bigger way by bringing on board the locally based and supported charity “Wigs 4 Kids”. ““Wigs 4 Kids” Wellness Center provides hair replacement units and support services to help the self- esteem of Michigan children, as they journey through their health challenges, empowering them to look and feel better.” explained Maggie Varney of “Wigs 4 Kids”. “Our center offers a social setting to children and teens with hair loss. We provide holistic care, allied health services, goods, information, educational and professional guidance in an affirming setting to help kids deal with the appearance related side effects of treatment.”
Wigs 4 Kids is committed to community service and promoting healthy living, growth and balance, by maintaining integrity in the goods, services and programs provided while respecting the dignity and privacy of the children and teens they serve.
One thing is for certain, this isn’t your typical fashion show with all of the great community involvement, national acts and gracious efforts we can’t wait to “Rock The Runway™” next month on Saturday, December 10th!
